I am playing the same on my PS3 and learning the tricks of the Fifa 16 game. Last time I tried was a real match on the previous version of Fifa13 with my friends. I did maintained to draw a match on Fifa16 yesterday with my team being Manchester United against Arsenal (1-1) and during penalty shoot out scored 4-1 to win the match. I really loved going through the skills practice to start from Bronze to Gold levels. I am still working on to get Gold points in all the skills levels but will soon be there.

Cheers!!!

Maya The Bee - @SterKinekor #HeritageDay Kids Celebration #Movie

Hi Guys,

The delightful and much-loved children’s TV series, Maya the Bee, has been made into a feature film for the big screen. In a South African first, the film – distributed by Black Sheep Films - will be released locally in three of the country’s official languages – in English as Maya the Bee Movie (also in 3D), in Afrikaans as Maya die By Movie and, in isiZulu as uMaya Inyosi iMovie. This 3D computer-animated comedy adventure opened on circuit in the three languages at select Ster-Kinekor cinemas countrywide on Friday, 18 September.

It is a significant step that the same film is released with three different language soundtracks, as opposed to the more common sub-titles. The film has been released just before South Africans celebrate their diverse cultures on National Heritage Day (24 September), making the movie accessible to a wider, multi-lingual audience. Children are encouraged to see the movie in their home language first and then a second time in one of the other languages, as a way to enhance their second language skills.

There will be exciting activities for the kids to participate in, at select Ster-Kinekor sites on Heritage Day (24 September). These include various arts and crafts, colouring-in sheets, balloons and some Maya the Bee hampers up for grabs for some lucky prize winners. The participating cinemas are: Cradlestone Mall, Greenstone Mall and Carnival City in and around Johannesburg; The Grove Mall in Pretoria; Watercrest Mall and Musgrave in Durban; and N1 City, Promenade and Blue Route in Cape Town. The entertainment area is sure to be abuzz with activity from 10:30 to 15:00 on Thursday.

Maya the Bee Movie is based on the German children's book of the same name by Waldemar Bonsels, written over a century ago in 1912. It is directed byAlexs Stadermann, and features the voices of Coco Jack Gillies (as Maya), Kodi Smit-McPhee, Noah Taylor, Richard Roxburgh, Jacki Weaver and Miriam Margolyes.

The film is the big-screen adventure that follows Maya, a young bee who leaves the hive and embarks on a new adventure to discover the beauty and mysteries of nature. Freshly-hatched Maya is a little whirlwind of a bee who won't follow the rules of the hive. One of these rules is not to trust the hornets that live beyond the meadow. When the Royal Jelly is stolen, the hornets are suspected and Maya is thought to be their accomplice. No one believes that she is the innocent victim and no one will stand by her, except for her good-natured best friend, Willy. After a long and eventful journey to the hornets’ hive, Maya and Willy soon discover the true culprit and set about bringing him to book.

The running time of the film is 1hr 29mins, and it carries no age restriction.

Wanneer die koningin se grootste skat gesteel word, word die perdebye dadelik verdink van die diefstal en almal is oortuig dat Maya 'n medepligtige was. Met die uitsondering van haar beste vriend, Willy, wil niemand haar storie glo nie. 5 Great #Android Apps for #Cycling Enthusiasts #HTCOneLifeSA

Hi Guys,

David Donde is the owner of Truth Coffee Roasting, the Cape Town café in Buitenkant Street that The Telegraph newspaper in the UK recently chose as the best coffee shop in the world. He’s as passionate about his HTC Android smartphone and cycling as he is about brewing great coffee. Here are his five Android favourite apps for cyclists:

1. Strava
Strava allows you to track your runs and rides with GPS, join challenges and see how your running and riding compares to your friends' workouts. “It’s a must have for every cyclist,” says Donde.

This is a top-rated fitness tracker and personal training app. With Endomondo, you can track all of your workouts using GPS, check your stats, stay motivated, and reach your fitness goals.

Garmin Connect Mobile gives you access to all of your Garmin Connect data – anytime, anywhere. You can even share your activities as they happen and wirelessly upload activities and more.

This app makes it a snap to track fitness metrics such as heart rate, cycling speed, cadence, and power data, says Donde.

Instagram is a very popular app that lets you capture those great views you see when you’re cycling in the mountains or along the coast, and then share them with your friends and followers. Also it can be used to maintain moments of where you were in a particular week of the year.

Our health is in our hands and it's our duty to take care of our body and heart. All the exercise that we do, helps us in some way or other, so set a goal and start achieving the same daily. I am also working on my 10000 steps daily using the Walklogger App on my HTC One M8 device which also have Fitbit app pre-installed.

Cheers!!!

The more you travel, more miles you earn @Citibank #PremierMilesCard #India

Hi Guys,

Long before the invention of money, people used to barter their goods for whatever they want in return. Slowly with time, coins and papers notes took center stage and gained a lot of acceptance all over the world. Gold and Silver coins were very much popular because of the actual value of the precious metal. In modern world, though precious metals still hold value but currency notes and coins took the center stage. It became the most popular mode of forgery as people started making their own and earned a lot in the actual money. Banks and other financial institutions discovered a method to keep people away from coins and currency notes, which became so popular that now our lives seems incomplete with the same. It was the invention of Credit Cards and Debit Cards which eventually reduced the consumption of coins and paper notes. These small plastic cards had a huge potential and world started carrying the same around the world. Eventually as technology grew further the ease to use and faster processing of payments helped the businesses and banks as well as the end users.

How users can benefit from using a small plastic device was the main concern that everyone has on their minds? It was that during those times a lot of pattern and strategy starts to emerge worldwide. Air travel was becoming cheaper and with the growth of Information Technology jobs from the outsourced countries, younger population stated earning a lot of money with onsite jobs in every country. People with huge income at their disposal wanting big credit cards which can give them a lot of upgrades from travelling in an economy class to business or first class using the amount of points they have collected on their credit cards via shopping and spending the money.

I too only got my first credit card when I started earning and it has a profound effect on my attitude towards money. I started spending only using the credit card as it used to give me a credit period of 45 days before the next statement comes on zero percent rate of interest. I can buy now and pay later which enabled me to prioritize my budget. I always wanted to have a Citibank Credit Card because of the rewards program that they had as well as the best point conversion ratio amongst all other vendors. With some of Citibank cards, every point holds value of Rs. 1 per point which is maximum as industry average is around 25-40 paise per point.
Citibank credit card has ties up with the best partners around the world to travel, dine and shop. When I was in London, I really made use of my card to buy a lot of stuff as the forex rate was really competitive along with all the extra points that you earn when you shop in a foreign country. Travelers need to check the various terms and conditions before narrowing down on the card which serves them the best. I really admire the Citibank’s PremierMiles Credit card because as a frequent traveler it serves you at airports, hotels and many other benefits with leading airlines. Check out the card and apply here.

Citibank needs no introduction and so will you if you have the PremierMiles card in your pockets as it will support you at every stage of your dream journey or official travel. Lounge access is complimentary up to 6-8 visits in a single quarter in various domestic and international airports in India. The best part of the PremierMiles card is the miles never expire but they come at a cost of annual fees of Rs 3000 and gets you 10000 miles when you make any single purchase worth Rs. 1000 within the two months of getting the new card. Miles can also be transferred to various hotel partners as well as can be redeemed for shopping vouchers and merchandise.

If you use your Credit card well, it can be a great wish fulfiller like genie which will give you the power to earn little something extra as you pay for your necessities. I have used several credit cards and among all, I still love my Citibank Indian Oil Credit Card for my domestic usage and if you are travelling overseas, PremierMiles gives you a lot of value as every mile you earn can make all your future travel comfortable and may be free sometimes. Go check the same, enroll for it asap and start earning miles. You can also follow Citibank on Facebook and check several other Citibank credit cards (Indian Oil, Rewards & many more) which you can also apply based on your want and need.

Cheers!!!

@CapitecBankSA brings even more colour to #CapitecColorRun in #Jozi

Hi Guys,

Capitec Bank, headline sponsor of The Color Run in South Africa, has announced that it will add even more colour to the festivities in Johannesburg on 20th September this year. To spread happiness throughout the city, well-known local artist Crystal Birch has been commissioned to create a giant, colourful Macau parrot at the entrance to the Neighbourgoods Market in, Braamfontein.
Jozi residents have been eagerly awaiting the ‘happiest 5km on the planet’, which will take place from Roosevelt High School near Emmarentia Dam. The Color Run is an un-timed race in which thousands of participants, or ‘Color Runners’, are doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre.

“Capitec Bank, like The Color Run, believes in health, happiness, individuality, freedom of expression, living life in technicolour, having fun and being YOU,” says Charl Nel, head of communications at Capitec Bank. “At Capitec Bank we encourage equality and respect of different individuals, which is why we have one banking solution & service offering that every client is able to access.”
He says that, to add a fun element and bring some colour to a grey space in Johannesburg, Birch will create a series of small Macau Parrots, using a style called ‘wheat paste,’ leading you to the entrance of the market where the large parrot will be revealed. One wing of the parrot will arch across the archway, across to the opposite wall in colourful strips of colour.

Birch started working on her installation on 8th September and completed it on the 11th September. Throughout both weeks, Jozi residents were invited to talk about and share the artwork and its progress on social media using the hashtag #CapitecColorRun.
Says the artist: “I chose the parrot as it is my alter-ego, a free-flying bird. And it is colourful and loud! I would like a giant, bright, free bird to fly in the concrete jungle of Jozi, representing freedom and a bold self. The colourful wings of the Macau should inspire people to break free and express themselves. Visitors to the market will see a parrot spiral above them like a rainbow of WOW,” she says. Check out this time-lapse video:  http://we.tl/mfkaeHETv9

Tickets for The Color Run are available online at www.thecolorrun.co.za and on
Facebook. Individual ticket prices are R245 and R220 for groups of four or more.

Cheers!!!

@XperiaMashlab -Collaborating Cassper Nyovest and Jeremy Loops #XperiaMashlab

Hi Guys,

Following the announcement of the fourth instalment of Xperia Mashlab, Sony Mobile is thrilled to reveal that the collaborative masterpiece with modern folk musical maestro Jeremy Loops and the multi-award winning South African hip-hop artist Cassper Nyovest has come to life. Set for release on the 5FM Forbes & Fix Show, this exclusive track was inspired by the ups and downs of touring and being on the road - away from family and friends. The song bounces between the cathartic highs and epic lows that come along with fan-filled stadiums and the absolute reality of what it takes to be a musician.

“The uniqueness of being part of something like Xperia Mashlab is that we both wanted to the song to be something fresh and true without it sounding like a Jeremy Loops song that has Cassper in the background or a Cassper Nyovest track with Jeremy singing over it,” said Loops. “Our goal was to ensure there was proper synergy and the track would be seamless when people choose to listen,” Loops concluded.
“Meeting Jeremy was a breath of fresh air,” says Nyovest. “Through this co-lab I got to understand his passion for music and how he not only elaborates when he is in conversation with you but how he elaborates with you in his music.”

Once available, the track will be exclusively available for download through Xperia Lounge, an app available for you to download on Google Play through your Android™ smartphone or tablet running version 2.3 or later. For owners of Sony’s flagship Z3 series devices, the Xperia MashLab tracks will also be available in High Resolution Audio, letting consumers hear the tracks as the musicians hear it in studio.

Xperia Mashlab is collaborative project between two South African artists as voted for by 5FM’s audience. Once the artists have been finalised the audience participates in the creation the track, then generates the single’s artwork. To date, Xperia Mashlab has created collaborations between Al Bairre and PHFAT, Kwesta and Black Motion, as well as Toya De Lazy and David Kramer. Xperia Mashlab is making South African music history live on 5FM every day

For all Xperia Mashlab updates and information, go to www.mashlabmusic.com, or follow Xperia Mashlab on 5fm on Facebook, check the @XperiaMashlab twitter page and #XperiaMashlab hashtag, as well as the @xperia_mashlab Instagram page. Use the Split Capture mode on the HTC One M9 to capture a selfie and the scenery in front of you as photos or videos. You can use the main and front cameras to capture both photos and videos at the same time, or you can take them separately. This is an awesome feature to capture both sides of a street.

Precautions to keep Data Safe in case of Stolen Mobile #HTCOneLifeSA

Hi Guys,

Smartphones are easily stolen or lost, which means that it’s important to take the appropriate steps to improve the security of your device and data. Here are some tips on how you can keep your information safe from prying eyes if your smartphone ends up in a stranger’s hands:

1. Set a screen lock
A screen lock is designed to help to protect your personal information and prevent others from using your mobile device without your express permission. Most modern smartphone platforms make it easy for you to put a password in place that prevents unauthorized people from accessing your device when the screen is locked. This is the first step towards security.

2. Consider installing a security application
Many mobile apps are available to enhance the security of mobile devices. These security-related apps are often available for free or at a low price and can provide the capability to remotely lock, locate, or wipe your device.

3. Back up your data
You probably keep valuable information on your smartphone, including photos, videos, and contacts, so backing up your data in case your smartphone is lost, damaged, or stolen is a good practice.

4. Set a SIM PIN
Many devices support the use of a personal identification number (PIN) to lock your SIM card. Setting the SIM PIN may help to prevent people from accessing your cellular voice or mobile data services without authorization. That will help prevent a thief running up your phone bill after he or she has stolen it. This was the biggest problem I faced when he started calling and sending my friends and family random text messages which were vulgar and rude.
What to do if your device is lost or stolen
  • Report the loss to your mobile network as soon as possible: If your device is lost or stolen, immediately notify your provider so that they can suspend service to your device.
  • Remotely locate, lock, or wipe your device using a security app: If you have installed a security app you may be able to use it to remotely locate, lock, or wipe your device.
  • Report phone theft to the police - If your phone has been stolen, you must report the theft of your device to your local police department. This is a legal requirement of the Regulation of Interception of Communication and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act 2002, better known as RICA. You will probably also need a police case number if you planning to claim from insurance.
Take precautions to keep the mobile away from the display while driving on the highway or in town at robots. It's important as we don't remember anything these days as we have a habit to keep the device as our personal assistant with calendar, meetings, apps, mobile numbers and important goals. Also, always look behind on the seats you were sitting before leaving any location whether it's office, movie theater, restaurants or any other place you visit for the first time to keep a tab on your phone.

Cheers!!!

Spring Clean your #Android Smartphone #HTCOneLifeSA

Hi Guys,

While you’re doing your spring cleaning, why not take the time to clear out the clutter on your Android smartphone? Getting rid of the apps you don’t use, the songs you no longer love, and all old messages, videos and emails can clear up some storage space for new content. We keep on accumulating stuff inside our mobile devices - knowingly and unknowingly sometimes. I generally clear up my phone from time to time as it gives a faster performance if you keep apps you don't use to the minimal.

Start out by checking how much total storage you have and determine how much is still available under your phone’s settings. If you’re running short of space, HTC recommends that you take these easy steps to clear up room for new apps and media on your device:

1. Save photos to online storage
Photos, videos and docs on the phone take up a lot of storage space. To reduce the impact on your storage space, you can set your phone to automatically upload photos to an online service such as Google Drive, which you can download from Google Play, if you don’t have it already and own an HTC smartphone, then Google Drive will give you 15GB free storage for 2 years. Otherwise, keep storing them on your laptop from time to time to create space in your smartphone.

2. Remove unused apps
If you have apps installed on your phone that you rarely use, uninstalling them will free up some space. Clearing out the app cache on your phone is also a great way of freeing up some space. Also, HTC gives you access to disable apps which won't be taking running space on your device but will stay in your settings>apps to enable again if anytime you want to use them again.
3. Export files and data to a computer
If you have work-related documents or other confidential files on your phone, you can easily move them to your computer. Using your USB cable, plug your phone into your computer, your phone will be recognised as a removable drive, allowing you to access the file storage and from here you can find and copy the files. Once done, you can delete the original files from your phone or simply cut and paste to save the effort.

4. Clear out your downloads folder
Your Downloads folder can get clogged with images, with PDFs and other files. Check through the Downloaded folder on your phone and delete these files from there. Alternatively, you can connect your phone to your computer and delete files from there after taking a data dump so that you don't need to download the same again if required in future.

5. Use High-Speed Memory Card
Add a micro-SD card to your device to increase storage space and transfer your files onto the SD card once installed. This will not only boost your phone’s storage, but the speed too, with a smartphone such as the HTC One M9 supporting additional memory cards up to 128GB. Don't use a slow SD card (series 4) as it will easily be corrupted and will really slow your smartphone, better invest in series 10 cards.

Cheers!!!
