Week 28 has been the one I have been waiting for the last many years since I started my YouTube Channel and started posting content on the same. The race was all towards completing 1000 subscribers and completing 4000 watch hours to apply towards the YouTube Partners Program and finally that came true on 10-July-2022 when I completed the same. I applied and by 12-Jul-22 I was accepted into the program as well. Thank You, YouTube!
Week 28 - Sat 09 Jul 2022 - Fri 15 Jul 2022
1. Walking - This week I did around 19 kilometres and the total to date is 563 kilometres. I showed a lot of grit and determination in the month of June-22. I am sure I will pick the same during the rest of this month too.
2. Books/Audiobooks - I completed 2 books which I read on my Kindle Paperwhite. One was The Monk Who Became Chief Minister - Shantanu Gupta which is a compilation of Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh news articles, interviews and speeches. It's a fast read if you have already been listening to news and rallies speeches. The second book was a small booklet by Omar Johnson - Money Magnet which is a half an hour read and you can gain some understanding of the world of Law of Attraction. I also started reading Lashkar by Mukul Deva and totally forgot about it afterwards so will complete the same during the course of next week or later.
3. YOUTUBE Monetization - The best part of this week was getting approved as a YouTube Partner to earn money from putting ads on all my videos. Some videos could be monetized and some not. I also observed that YouTube Shorts which doesn't have any music embedded can also be marked for monetization. There may not be any money coming out of YouTube Shorts but there is a Shorts Fund which can give you some money if any of your videos gets viral. I am not so sure which one will and whether that will belong to me but I am hopeful that someday it will. I earned my first USD from YouTube but you can only withdraw once you have more than 100 USD accumulated and it's only with your support I will achieve that.
4. Entertainment - I started watching another marvel created by TVF in their new web series named Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd and experiencing the power of Mahadev Lord Shiva myself. If you speak the word Mahadev again and again, you will feel the sensation in your whole body which I have never tried earlier myself. But when I tried it gave me a lot of awareness about my whole existence. Coming back to the Zee5 web series which stars Amruta Subhash, Anup Soni, and Anjana Sukhani is a must-watch in terms of acting and the emotional side it touches on a person on her entrepreneurial journey.
5. Launch Events - I went to two events for Tastic Rice where they celebrated the Legacy Education Fund and the students who got the bursaries. It does changes the lives of those who make the best use of the fund to further their education. It benefits all of humankind with one person who gets educated getting to enlighten the world of many. Another one I attended was for Mandela Day where we worked towards packaging the meal for Rise Against Hunger charity whether we packed more than 17 boxes with each box having 36 meal packets. We even got nice tastic rice to cook at the end of the event for ourselves.
Going to the office is leaving me with very less time for the social media platforms but I am sneaking in some time from travel and other necessary cut off I can do to achieve the ongoing 1 post per day on any of the platforms.

Week 27 marks the start of the second half of the year 2022 and let's continue the steam engine rolling as I have achieved a lot or not only time will tell when I look back and connect the dots. I am eager to venture into my new version as I was able to complete what I set out for. The next few weeks will be to find a job which pays the right amount of value in return for my efforts which I am not getting in my current one for sure.
Week 27 - Sat 02 Jul 2022 - Fri 08 Jul 2022
1. Thank You - I did some random Thank You's this time but the count kept coming to zero again and again. Overall I did around 5000 for sure so let's stick to that number. I have not started the Money affirmations but totally going to complete the I Love Money (2nd edition) book in a few days.
2. Office - All 5 days of the week, I went to the office starting from 9am onwards till at least 6pm every day. My 5GB data got finished on Tuesday itself and I had to work on the old laptop given by the client. With adversity, I always know to find my way if I have the intent to move forward. I used something else to create the same report as my office version was on 32bit whereas to insert the CSV etc, the device kept throwing the error to get it converted to 64bit. I still have not taken the same to the IT department for changing the Office version installed on my laptop but got another way to do the same task. Microsoft always has multiple ways to do the same thing. The only thing is that it's just directly opening the CSV and making it into the format on my pivoted worksheets. I love playing with MS excel and because of the same I am earning my income for the last 15 years or so.
3. Walking - I easily completed my 20 kilometres for the week as I was walking to my office every day and counted those too into my daily walking. This is a cheat but considering the efforts, it's in the office to do a lot of other tasks, I was sure I won't be able to do the evening walks after coming back. I achieved a total of around 23 kilometres this week.
4. Books/Audiobooks - I completed Building the Second Brain by Tiago Forte and started listening to The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime! by M. J. DeMarco which is a must-read from what I have heard so far. It's a book to follow religiously. I was only able to cover around the first 3 hours out of the total of 12 hours of this audiobook. I love Money is the book I am also reading on the Kindle Paperwhite 7th edition I am using.
5. Goodies - I received the Nokia Goodies bag along with the new Nokia G50 for review. It's a nice gift bag with apron and Bamboo Cooking Utensils set for the kitchen to cook up the storm. Thanks to HMD Global for the same.
I was reviewing the Huawei P50 Smartphone this week and this is the unboxing video of the same. I totally loved the device and Huawei is coming back strongly but I am not sure why they are not venturing into the 5G smartphones?
6. Entertainment - Overall, it was a hectic week as I didn't see any movies or web series during this week. Entertainment took a back seat when you have other things to take care of. But I won 4 tickets to the Numetro competition with Expresso Show to see Thor: Love and Thunder movie in Clearwater Mall. The movie is totally different from what MARVEL movies are made of. This time they took the comedy just like any other kids' movie from Disney and installed the same in the Avengers series of movies. This one is specifically built for kids for sure as the storytelling is totally like reading a kid's storybook. But as I love popcorn so I can go anywhere to watch any movie and it was my first time on Scene Extreme which is a wide big screen in NuMetro along with Dolby Atmos sound system and the best 3D experience on their leather seats. I felt the seats are a little bit small as compared to the NuMetro at Hyde Park where I love going a lot. Overall, it was fun with the family.
Thank You everyone for taking my blog across 3.7 Million page views in the last 9.5 years of existence. The speed has slowed as I have deleted all the old posts which were not relevant today but not a problem as I can now take some new direction with my blog www.thelifesway.com. Also, my Youtube Channel crossed 500,000 views and it's the best feeling as I have taken around 400+ videos to achieve the same. Most of my videos have views of less than 100 but slowly and steadily I am moving towards the 4000 Watch Hours resistance point also to take my channel towards monetization.

With the hybrid work and office setup, one item that is desired, required or needed by everyone is the Desktop Monitors and a desk. My Work from Home setup always had a second monitor which I bought for around ZAR 1000 rands long back using one of the gift vouchers sent by Acer when they launched their local online shop. That one remained my second screen throughout 2016-17 to till date to connect for all my blogging and Youtube editing.
Earlier in December 2021, I requested the Samsung Team for Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor and that one is the best you and money can ever buy. The review is here on this link. Then after it went away, I wanted to check on their Smart Monitor M7 which I also received for some time and it really changed my life for sure before it went away. The pain of missing watching entertainment on Samsung's UHD/AMOLED displays is definitely felt by the eyes and heart.
Coming back to the Smart Monitor which comes in two models - M5 and M7 and both come in 32inch display sizes whereas M5 comes in a 27inch version as well. I got the M7 32inch version for review and totally loved using the same. Before we look at the smart features imbibed in the Samsung Monitors, let's look at the display quality on the same. M7 Smart Monitor has a flat panel design in the black colour body which has a refresh rate of 60Hz. UHD display means the panel has a resolution of 3840x2160 with HDR10 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Please don't compare the display and audio quality of this monitor to the Samsung Televisions you may have seen in the shops with QLED, Neo QLED as those are much expensive technology and the displays on the shops play some super hi-quality 8k or 4k videos in loop.
There are some built-in modes which change the contrasts, brightness and sharpness to make the display suitable for your needs like Game mode, Eye-saver mode, ultrawide game view, flicker-free, adaptive picture etc. The adaptive picture is just like smartphone displays which change the display brightness based on the current surrounding and light levels. It's really helpful if you are working in changing lighting conditions to reduce stress on your eyes.
On the Samsung M7 32inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:9, I loved watching the 1080p and 2160p videos on Youtube for sure. There is an inbuilt audio speaker in case you are thinking about the smart systems but as I told you earlier it's made for common zoom or Teams meetings, to do some little background music or even watching some Youtube videos or Netflix and other streaming platforms. It didn't give the punch we all want in our music or movies though but for day-to-day listening in the background, it worked fine. I watched the new Lion King on the same but the feel of the thunder was not there if I used the built-in speakers during the scene where a lot of bulls are running in the trench.
There is a USB type C port to charge your devices (65W) and connect your smartphone to the smart monitor at the bottom of the screen. It not only helps you charge your smartphone but can also connect your device data to be displayed on the screen via mirroring and other features that are unique to the Samsung ecosystem like Dex. I didn't use this feature as I only came to know about it as I was writing this blog post. This one is compatible with Apple Airplay 2 as well which is good for Apple users too and gives them an alternative to Apple monitors.
The best part of this device which I loved is the remote control which has a voice assistant to control your display via Bixby as well if you are using your Samsung smartphone to switch between various apps. But in general, also, the power on/off is great as you don't need to press any physical buttons on the monitor, volume up and down, move to apps in no time, change the source if there are any office tasks to be completed. Also, there are games which can be played using the remote which can be installed on the monitor itself but I didn't want my kids to know off so I didn't switch them On.
Tizen is the operating system Samsung is using for its TVs and this is there in this M7 Smart Monitor as well. There are a wide variety of apps already available in the Samsung Ecosystem from games to streaming platforms to make it enjoyable. You can also use Office 365 and other things to directly make the changes in your presentations and excels and email using an external keyboard and mouse. It's a really nice alternative to switching on your laptop etc as you get the full-screen experience making using excel sheets so comfortable and helps your productivity as well. I have always used multiple screens to cover my different tasks on the go.
Overall, it has a lot of features which make it smarter and better than regular monitors. If you are looking for a gaming monitor, then this is not the right one but if you are looking for a productive desktop monitor which has some entertainment edge the same, Samsung's M7 or even M5 is the right choice. I also heard that Samsung M8 is also in the market now but have not seen it still in South Africa which looks like the Apple Monitors with its colourful setup. I am definitely sure that I will have M8 as my daily driver for the next few years once it reaches South African markets. Samsung M7 Smart Monitor is available for around ZAR 8999 at various online stores whereas the Samsung Online store is selling the same for ZAR 6999. Evetech has the same cheapest going in their clearance sale for ZAR 5999. Thanks once again Samsung South Africa for making my eyes look at some beautiful screen moments and increasing my productivity too. The unboxing video is right here on my Youtube Channel -
Cheers!!!

This is the middle of the Year 2022 being Week 26 and after this week we will be working towards the next half of the year and it's also the closure of the second Quarter of 2022. I am so grateful to the BuJo Method which I have changed as per how much I can consume it and also daily tracking using the apps like Goodreads, Youtube Studio, and Manoj Arora's ELITE program. Being financially wise and free is the best you can be which Manoj Sir has been guiding and mentoring me since the start of last year.
Week 26 - Sat 25 Jun 2022 - Fri 01 Jul 2022
1. 15 Years in a single organisation - The first day of the week marked the completion of 15 Years in the company I joined after my MBA in Finance. Thanks to the organisation for providing food and shelter throughout my life. It's time to make some hard decisions as I see that overall in the last 15 years, I have not earned even USD 200k where the people who go and work in the United States get in a single year. So I could have worked some 5 years at such a high salary and could enjoy the time to travel and pursue my interests for the rest of 10 years. I got some ZAR 2000 worth of vouchers to mark the completion of 15 Years which is something less if you think about it. Thanks to the company though with whatever they think our value is. Time to move on!!! Thanks for the monthly salary too as it came in this week.
2. Amazing Thailand at Hostex 2022 and Goodies from Denmark - I just went on to see Hostex 2022 as a general public and participated in one of the contests at the Amazing Thailand contest on the first day of the show. I won a 2 days stay at the Zambia - Victoria Falls Resort. Thanks to the team! I also received a goodies bag from Dell Technologies and it came all the way via DHL from Denmark which you can watch here -
3. Walking - This being the 26th week - the target was to achieve 520+ kilometres and I just stopped myself thereafter constantly working on this goal from 14th June onwards. I covered around 32 kilometres this week to cover the 2 weeks I didn't cover any distance when my brother was here. Thanks to the Huawei Watch GT 2e to be my measuring partner during all these 520 kilometres so far. Never ever has this watch hanged during all my such walks and always tracked without any deviations. Thanks, Huawei South Africa!
4. Audiobooks - I completed the Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Dil Se Audiobook being a fanboy on full speed and as I was doing daily walks so it helped to complete the same fastest also. I started Building A Second Brain by Tiago Forte which is a really nice read. It helps you sort out all the stuff which you have read over the years but never tracked or kept organised. I have a second brain in some of my old diaries which I need to digitize now in the next 26 weeks on a daily basis.
5. Entertainment - I watched Avrodh The Siege Within Season 2, Anek movie and Forensic Movie during this whole week. This is the most I could have watched in a single week. Avrodh second season is really good as it keeps you on the edge of your seats. The web series traces the route of money to track down the terrorists. Anek is the movie of Ayushman Khurrana focussed on the trails of the North East and has nothing new to offer. There is no story in the first place and there is no end. They could have developed something to create a storyline that could leave some kind of feeling to make it feel like part of the country but it's a totally boring movie and it took me so much time and energy to finish the same. They are still talking about the lines like Chinki etc which is like 20 years old thing. Forensic is a nice movie starring Vikrant Massey, Radhika Apte and Prachi Desai. It's really a thriller which will keep you on the edge of your seats as a serial criminal is on the loose and they take help from a forensic scientist to nab the same.
Other than that nothing major happened in Week 26, and most importantly we started going to the office on a full-day session. It brought so many memories as we now need to plan lunch and everything in between. Things are getting hectic and I am taking it slow too as I delve myself into the office going pattern but soon I will be ready. Cheers!!!

Week 25 started with the arrival of a new salary letter only to know that there are almost no benefits and overall it's just around a 3.18% hike on CTC and may be actuals will be negative. Even the inflation is more than 6% and how does the company want us to carry on - may be from the leftovers and savings? I am sure that my decision to carry on in a single organisation is a fool's paradise. We have limited time on Planet Earth and if we are not getting the right value for our time, then it's time to go out of your comfort zone and try for the stars. Don't worry about the fear of failure as it's better than the daily constant nagging of mind and heart.
Week 25 - Sat 18 Jun 2022 - Fri 24 Jun 2022
1. Thank You - I did complete the 100k marked for June 2022 as I started from 58000 and took them to 100k and then 4444 more by the end of Friday. I also got the idea to follow the money affirmations like I am a Money Magnet or Money comes to me easily and frequently and count that too starting from Week 27. It brings me to one of my projects to launch on my YT channel about the Money affirmations I love. I will try to finish the same soon.
2. Entertainment - We watched Bhool Bhulaiya 2 on Netflix and made a wonderful pizza as dinner. The movie is really nice and totally loved Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu in the same. The storyline is really good and we all enjoyed the same very much. I also watched The Broken News Season 1 web series on ZEE 5 and totally loved the role played by Sonali Bendre. This web series belongs to her for sure. It's worth your binge-watching but there is no mention of when the second season is going to arrive as they leave the fate of the protagonist in suspense at the end of Season 1 just like any other series. The series also stars Jaideep Ahlawat (of Pataal Lok fame) and Shriya Pilgaonkar (Mirzapur fame). I also watched CODE M (Season 2) starring Jennifer Winget and Tarun Virwani but this one is not worth your time. There is nothing new that is being offered and if you are a fan of any of the star cast then you can invest your time else it can be skipped.
3. Walking - I took my number of steps and kilometres too far this week without taking any break from the daily walks and started with the counter with less than 450 kilometres and took the same to 488 kilometres which means I covered around 38+ kilometres in the 7 days. The ability to focus on the goal and strong willpower are my biggest strengths.
4. Audiobooks - My brother gave me his Kindle Paperwhite which I loved and started reading books on the same too. I started listening to the Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Dil Se autobiography by him and Meena Iyer. I am a big fan of Rishi Kapoor since my childhood. He is one of the three actors I religiously followed and tried to imitate in all my actions and behaviours. I loved listening to the same in his own voice and brought so many insights into his life. I have all the tools in my arsenal and now I am constantly thinking as to which book I can derive the best value or joy from next. I have started planning for the same too and focusing on completing those important ones this year in 2022 which I wanted to read all my life. Here is the product review I did of the Kindle Paperwhite which you can watch and enjoy -
5. Electric Stove to Gas Stove - I bought the AEG Gas Stove from Takealot.com during their birthday sale and got it installed this week from Gas and Equipment, Randburg. They charged me around ZAR 1900 for the same and AEG stove cost me around ZAR 2950 so overall in around 5000 ZAR I am now loadshedding proof in terms of cooking Indian food at home. The cylinders I have already filled and there is no such price difference between Makro (ZAR 315), builder's warehouse, MICA or even Gas and Equipment (ZAR 335) for a 9kg cylinder refill. The Makro Woodmead now have a long line and sometimes you have to collect the cylinder the next day which makes it totally worthless as petrol cost to reach and park there is more than the 20-30 rands savings in the price difference. It's better to get it filled from the nearest shop you have in your area.
Thanks to everyone for believing in me as now next week is going to be the Week 26th of the Year 2022. I have already achieved so much and am so grateful to the Universe for the same. I have missed doing some things which I have to start doing in the coming weeks like Sundarkand Path which is an advanced version of worshipping Lord Hanuman. Jai Bajrang Bali Ji ki Jai!
