Stationery Review 180 - Jinhao Dadao 9013 White Fountain Pen with Heartbeat (F) Nib ZAR 350

Hi Friends,

I bought this Jinhao Dadao 9013 White Fountain Pen with Heartbeat Fine nib from Facebook Marketplace. The guy who sold me these bought them from the WriteSpoke Online Store in Johannesburg, South Africa. The 9013 pen is available in Black, Red, Green, White, and Yellow with a little bit of stars in the pen material. The glitter is not that much that it looks like a girl's edition but it's like just a pinch. 

The individual pen is priced at ZAR 350 and a set of 5 is available at ZAR 1500 only making it ZAR 300 for each of them. Also, there are two nib variants, medium to fine that are currently available at WriteSpoke. Some of the pens are in translucent body design and they all come with an ink converter.

As I told you in the video as well these pens' grip is really wide so it won't be suitable for every person but only those who like writing with thinner ones. As we progress in the Dadao series from 9013 to 9016 to 9019 the same keeps on increasing so go this route only if you love bulkier pens in girth. They are lightweight though despite their big sizes but it will take some time to adjust to them. I am also struggling a little bit with the same but I will overcome it in some time for sure.

Stationery Review 179 - Moonman M6 Wood Fountain Pen (EF) ZAR 800

Hi Friends, 

I bought this Moonman M6 pen in the second-hand pen market but the guy bought it from WriteSpoke and a link is also provided so that you can see it there. I really liked this wooden fountain pen which is available in multiple variants at WriteSpoke and really loved all of them. The pen writes really smoothly and is really perfect.

By the looks of the pen, it seems like it was a Green Sandalwood variant as there are 4 variations (Black Sandalwood, Red Sandalwood, Tiger Texture Wood) available currently at the WriteSpoke shop. The pen shape is really great and this is the most sophisticated wooden pen I have come across so far in my life. The name Moonman is etched in the wood nicely. The metallic clip is okay but the wooden pen always needs to be protected from the water as much as you can. 

The nib is really sharp and the shape of the nib is really gliding towards like a sword. I don't have any other pen so far like this one which has this unique nib experience.

Stationery Review 178 - Moonman N2 Mini Fountain Pen (EF) ZAR 650

Hi Friends,

I bought this Moonman N2 pen in the second-hand pen market but the guy bought it from WriteSpoke and a link is also provided so that you can see it there. I really liked this mini fountain pen which is available in multiple colors at WriteSpoke and really loved the blue one. The pen writes really smoothly and is really lightweight.

The extra-fine nib in Moonman N2 is excellent, and it writes smoothly. This pen needs to be used posted else the length is too small for my hands. The pen is a perfect play in your hands even when you are not writing with the same. It really will attract a lot of attention from people around you even when you are playing with the same. I always wanted to try Moonman pens so I bought them. Stationery Review 177 - Lamy T52 Sepia Fountain Pen Ink (50ml) @SandtonStat

Hi Friends, 

Lamy launched 2 new colours of inks named Petrol and Sepia in 2025. The same is available at Sandton Stationery & Print for around ZAR 250 each. I have reviewed the Lamy Sepia in this video. Check it out! Lamy Sepia is a different ink altogether that does not match any of the inks I have as showcased in the video. It's a darker brown coloured ink with a little bit of red in the same. It's really pigmented ink that looks beautiful on the paper and is totally legible to read. 

The ink is priced at around ZAR 250 for a 50ml bottle which also a whole roll of blotting paper to clean your pens on the go. Otherwise, I am not sure if you will ever buy blotting paper because you will just clean the ink with tissue paper or a towel or whatever mechanism you are already using. I have a lot of tissue papers coloured in inks which I have kept for nostalgia purposes. They do smell bad as well as inks are made from some form of chemicals and every brand uses different chemicals.

Hi Friends,

I have reviewed the Lamy Petrol in this video. Lamy Petrol is the darkest green ink with a lot of black into the same. Though at no point the black is visible but it's really a dark green ink as a whole.

Stationery Review 171 - Taccia 3 Navy Blue Fountain Pen Ink (The Jeans Collection)

Hi Friends,

I got this Taccia fountain pen ink in the Maido in a Box DX Volume 19 box. The same is also showcased on my stationery playlist. This is a video on the ink swab and how it compares against all the blue inks we have. 

Taccia's range of inks is available locally in South Africa exclusively at WriteSpoke online store. You can get the full range of The Jeans collection as well as other inks. I have not bought any other Taccia ink as yet, but got some suggestions in the comments section by a viewer so will definitely try them even if I have to get a 3ml or 10ml sample pack. 3ml pack won't work because some of the ink will go into the ink swab, so 5ml to 10ml will work best.

Diamine Philip is a darker purple ink with a golden/red sheen. This is also a unique combination just like the previous one with Turquoise ink with red sheen. Cult Pens has really created a lot of ink colours by combining red sheen into their famous darker coloured inks. Let's see when we will explore more as this completes all the 32 inks we have bought. Diamine Maureen is a darker royal blue ink with a red sheen. I really love this combination of blue and red colours, and there are many inks like that, and I have also ordered one from Endless Works, which I will receive anywhere in April 2025. Check it out!

Diamine Helen is a darker green ink with a red sheen. This is really a great one just like the other named inks. If you like darker pigmented inks then you should buy Diamine inks that are named after persons/individuals. There must be some history behind the naming convention of these inks may be on authors or writers or noble prize winners. In United Kingdom, you can always expect that when they named something it will be after someone famous originating from their lands. Check it out!

Hi Friends, 

Diamine Louise is a yellow ink with a little brown ink in the same. I really loved this colour as my favourite colour is yellow. This ink is really legible on the paper as compared to the yellow ones. Check it out!

Diamine Matthew is a lighter black ink. I am comparing it against the Diamine Onyx Black, which is a brilliant dark black ink, and the darkest amongst all the black inks I have from all the brands. Check it out!

Diamine Bilberry is a darker violet colour. Check it out! I totally loved it, and you should check out the difference between the violet and purple inks. I also came to know about the same when I started reviewing inks on my channels, otherwise I was using the name alternatively.

Diamine Gruntled Guava is really a nice ink, which in Hindi we can call Kesari colour. Gruntled means happy, and here, the guava is happy and has created this colour. Diamine Ink names are really great, and I really like yellow-orange colours the most.
