I bought this Maido in a box DX Mystery Stationery Pack volume 19 from the shop in Japantown in San Francisco for a 50% discount. The same is priced at USD 75 + taxes so I got it for around USD 40. They had various versions available at discounts. I chose this one because it had a fountain pen and ink in the package and various other stationery items and papers. Check it out!

I really loved this mystery box and all the goodies that I got inside of it. The problem with these kinds of mystery boxes is that if you get what you get. It's already chosen by someone else but the good part is that you get to know many new brands that you are unaware of or won't buy it.
Secondly, the overall price of the box is not like it's coming at a discount rather than when the store launched a 20%-40% off storewide. I think this sale is much better than getting a mystery box. You can buy what you have eyes on rather than anything random that you won't use as well.
Considering that I got this for USD 40 then also I don't think I got any benefits out of it. I think I have paid a fair/regular price for the goodies rather than the discounts they make you think that you got.
